The beginning of Zaid Abbas

Zaid Abbas was born in the city of Nablus and studied at the A.A. School. He started playing basketball at the Ebal Nabulsi Club, then moved to Amman to complete his university studies at Al-Ahliyya Amman University . At that time, he was able to represent the university in basketball, especially in the Jordanian Universities League, and because the Jordanian Universities League was frequented and the eyes of the Jordanian clubs were watching, he was contracted to play in the Jordanian Basketball League since 2002, participating in the name of the newly formed Arena Club at the time.

The remarkable development of this player led to his arrival in the Jordanian national team in his first official season, and from here began the career of the player who is distinguished by special skills that are rare among Arab players.

Zaid Abbas was able to win titles with the Jordanian national team during the golden period with current coach Robert Palma, where Jordan was:

• The Arab Championship for teams was held in Egypt, where the Jordanian team, the Arab champion, was able to win it after the final match against the home team, the Egyptian team, where the victory went to the Jordanian team by 11 points, and Zaid Abbas was present in full force in this tournament.
