In his club career, Salom achieved a notable milestone by scoring a decisive 94th-minute winner over Excursionistas, securing Barracas Central's promotion to the Primera B Metropolitana. Subsequently, he signed with Olimpo de Bahía Blanca in the Argentine Primera División.
However, Salom faced controversy in September 2017 after Mexico was struck by a powerful 7.1 earthquake. In the aftermath, he expressed regret for having played soccer in Mexico, attributing his migration to the country to his agent.
