Nazmi Nidal Nazmi Albadawi, born on August 24, 1991, is a former Palestinian professional footballer who excelled as a midfielder. He played for North Carolina FC and represented the Palestine national team.

Early Life:

Albadawi initiated his soccer journey at Triangle United Soccer Association and later played high school soccer for the Athens Drive High School Jaguars in Raleigh, North Carolina. With numerous accolades, including three-time all-conference selection and all-region honors, he concluded his high school career with 35 goals and 60 assists in 88 games.

College Career:

Nazmi Albadawi played four years of college soccer at NC State between 2010 and 2013. He also spent a year at Wake Technical Community College. Notably, he scored a game-winning goal in overtime against in-state rivals UNC on November 9, 2013.

Club Career:

Carolina Railhawks/North Carolina FC:
Albadawi signed with NASL club Carolina RailHawks on April 11, 2014. He made significant contributions, earning accolades like NASL Player of the Week and NASL Best XI.
He continued with North Carolina FC, re-signing for the 2020 season after a successful stint.

FC Cincinnati:

Albadawi joined USL side FC Cincinnati on January 15, 2018, on a multi-year contract.

International Career:

Albadawi made his international debut for Palestine in a friendly against Pakistan on November 16, 2018, scoring the winning goal in a 2–1 victory.
Personal Life: Nazmi Albadawi's family hails from Tarshiha. A practicing Muslim, he emphasized the importance of faith in his life, stating, "I've grown a lot in faith the last couple of years, and it's something that's been very important to me."

Retirement:

On September 3, 2021, Albadawi announced his retirement from professional soccer. In his final game, he scored a brace against New England Revolution II and was named USL League One Player of the Week for Week 23 of the 2021 season.
