The
head of the Conference of Palestinians in Europe, (an independent European
organization), Amin Abu Rashid, said, "The demonstrations and protests
witnessed in European capitals against the visit of the Prime Minister of the
occupation government, Benjamin Netanyahu, constitute a true expression of what
the European peoples represent, which reject the occupation policy in the
occupied Palestinian territories."
He
explained that the protest demonstrations are "tightening the screws on
this occupation and its political, economic and security extensions,"
stressing that the occupation's measures against the Palestinians represent
"a violation of all European covenants related to human rights and
self-determination of peoples."
Abu
Rashid indicated, in a press statement, today, Saturday, received by Quds
Press, that "the series of popular and public events that took place in
London, Berlin and Paris during Netanyahu's visit should constitute tools and
means to put pressure on European governments, which continue to give political
cover to the Israeli occupation, and prevent without condemnation in
international forums.
