Review Arabic included Dr. Mustafa Jarrar in computer science at Birzeit
University in the first edition of its list of the most prominent Arab
artificial intelligence experts for the year 2022, which is the first list of
its kind in the Arab region.
The list
includes the 30 most prominent Arab personalities in artificial intelligence in
the public, private and academic sectors from all over the world. It highlights
leaders, entrepreneurs and researchers who have played a prominent role in
their sectors by expanding the adoption of artificial intelligence
technologies, launching startups based on this technology, or pushing research
a step forward, especially in the Arab region.
Jarrar has
been a visiting Fulbright Professor at the University of Buffalo, USA, a Senior
Research Fellow at Vrije Universität in Brussels, and holds the position of
Director and Principal Investigator for more than twenty international
projects.
He has more
than seventy scientific research papers in the fields of artificial intelligence,
language computing, data engineering, and electronic governance.
He won several
prestigious awards, including: a research grant from GOOGLE, the Abdul Hameed
Shoman Award for Arab Researchers in 2019, the Mohammed bin Rashid Prize for
the Arabic Language, a fellowship from the American Fulbright Foundation, and a
Meri Koi Fellowship from the European Union.
Recently
launched a search engine for Arabic dictionaries, the first of its kind in the
world.
