Palestinian Moatasem Zaqout (34 years old) broke the usual traditional mold of sports, political, and even entertainment programs offered by Arab content makers through their programs that they present to the Arab audience on the famous video platform "YouTube", by merging the standard Arabic language with sports.
Zaqout, during his presentation of the episodes of his sports program "With Moatasem", combines Arabic literature in the ancient pre-Islamic times or even in the Islamic era with some sporting events that have a kind of similarity, which gives his program a different distinction from other programs.
Arab viewers are attracted to the method of presentation and presentation by the young Zaqout during the presentation of the episodes of his program, especially as he works to collect sports in the Arabic language, which was appreciated by thousands of followers and viewers of his channel and program.
In the episodes of the program, the Ghazi youth focuses on world football, such as the European Champions League, and the most famous European leagues, such as the Spanish League, due to its wide popularity, and interest in the most important English clubs and professional Arab players in Europe.
Zaqout told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that after launching his YouTube channel, he decided to speak Standard Arabic, without leaning towards any of the popular dialects such as Levantine, Egyptian, Maghreb, or even that dialect spoken by the people of the Arab Gulf.
According to the young Gazan, his message is based on addressing the Arab public in the various regions of his presence through the use of sports, specifically football, which is considered unifying for peoples in light of the gap and the state of polarization in the Arab region.
The idea of the program came to Mutasim more than 4 years ago, and due to some circumstances and preoccupation with work, its implementation was postponed, especially given his involvement in working on Arab and international sports sites, and in the spring of 2018 he headed towards launching the program through his YouTube channel.
He points out that at the beginning he was filming himself as a training step, despite his experience of analysis with some local Palestinian terrestrial channels, in addition to drawing the features of the work period in the program and setting a vision and study for dealing with YouTube.
The month of April 2018 is considered the starting whistle for the young man Zaqout, as he witnessed his production of the first video through his channel “With Moatasem”, which was popular, as his channel witnessed, after the publication of the first video, more than 13 thousand people subscribed to it, which was a motivation to continue for for him.
Currently, the number of subscribers to his YouTube channel is more than 141 thousand subscribers from various Arab countries, in addition to using other social media platforms such as “Facebook” and “Instagram” in order to interact with the audience and his followers.
Regarding the challenges, he points out that he prepares the episode, films it, and edits it himself, while a photographer helps him work while he handles the rest of the work on the channel, which requires a great effort and formed difficulties at the beginning, the most prominent of which was the absence of logistics, poor internet, and power outages in Sometimes during the filming of the program's episodes.
Despite Zaqout's happiness with what he has achieved, he looks forward to the best, watches the episodes of his program and takes some notes, in addition to allocating a group of friends through the "WhatsApp" application that works to send negative comments about the episodes in order to avoid them later.
Young Zaqout believes that the current present is for digital media, especially since many Arab talents succeeded in discovering themselves through this platform, which broke the restrictions imposed by the Arab and government media, and presented people outside the Arab polarization.
