A Palestinian researcher developed a system specialized in forensic investigation for the global Apple Watch, in the context of his studies at the Arab American University in Ramallah.
The Palestinian researcher, Muhammad Dawoud, succeeded in developing the system in the context of his master’s studies in electronic criminology and analysis of digital evidence, where he prepared a digital forensic investigation system for the Apple Watch.
Researcher Daoud said that the system that was developed helps investigators deal with the Apple Watch and extract digital evidence from it quickly, contributes to revealing details of crimes, and succeeds in producing reliable reports from this watch before the legal authorities.
He said that his research, in which he obtained a master's degree, consists of 140 pages, and it is a new topic that has not been discussed in this complete manner, and he provided an integrated system specialized in dealing with the "Apple Watch" at crime scenes.
He stressed that entering into this subject was a great challenge, and no one had worked on it in this way, and all previous research had not reached what it had achieved. I brought a device from outside Palestine to be able to access the information contained in the “Apple Watch” and obtain the evidence that the investigators wanted to obtain. .
