In 2000, he obtained a Master’s degree in Hydraulics and Water Resources from IHE-Delft, Netherlands.
In 1996, he obtained a diploma in Hydrological Engineering from IHE-Delft, Netherlands.
In 1987, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Istanbul Technical University in Turkey.
Job title : Director General of the Palestinian Meteorological Office,
supervising all work related to meteorology in Palestine from 2005 until today.
Practical experience:
Jordanian Meteorology Department at the Jordanian National Center for Meteorological Forecasting (Amman Airport) for a year.
Applied Research Foundation in Jerusalem as a researcher in the Water Research Unit (for 5 years), in addition to working in agricultural meteorology to estimate the amount of water needed by crops in different areas in the West Bank by studying the efficiency of irrigation.
Participation in preparing environmental files for different sectors and different regions in the West Bank (ARIJ).
Participation in preparing the book on Irrigated Agriculture in the West Bank (ARIJ).
Participate in preparing activities related to raising awareness about the environment (water sector) in the West Bank (ARIJ).
Project Manager at the Palestinian Environmental Authority. (for 1997)
Participation in preparing the Palestinian climate data booklet in 1998.
Participation in preparing the National Drought Plan in Palestine, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Environmental Quality Authority, and the Water Authority. (2014 - 2016),

Founding member of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, Idhna Branch, in 1999, and secretary of the Society to this day.
Member of the Engineers Syndicate since 1990.
President of the Higher Education Association in Idhna (1992 - 1996).
Representative of Palestine in the World Meteorological Organization.
Representative of Palestine in the Permanent Arab Meteorological Committee, in the Arab League.
Member of the National Climate Change Committee.
Member of the National Committee for Desertification.
Member of the Supreme Council of Civil Defense.
