Qasim Awad obtained his bachelor's degree in engineering from Birzeit University in 1991 and worked with major global companies in the field of project management. In 2005, he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, and in 2007, he became a lecturer at the University of Jerusalem in the College of Business and Economics.
Since joining the university, Qasim Awad has been teaching courses in project management, operations management, and global supply chain management. In addition to his role at the University of Jerusalem, he also works as a part-time lecturer at Palestine Polytechnic University. Between 2011 and 2015, he served as the Head of the Business Management and Marketing Department at the University of Jerusalem.
Furthermore, Professor Qasim has participated in workshops and development courses at American and British universities and other international centers. He is a certified professional trainer with the rank of expert, working with numerous local and international institutions. He holds a professional certification in project management and is considered a national expert in this field. He is also a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), an American institute for project management professionals.
