Information

He grew up in Jaffa, and emerged during the 1940s as a veteran lawyer, especially in defending revolutionaries before the British colonial courts.
Following the 1948 Nakba, he was chosen as part of an eleven-member committee to represent Palestinian refugees and make contacts with the relevant authorities to work on their return to their lands.

In 1964, he was chosen as part of the Preparatory Committee for the Palestinian National Council, and those gathered at the first conference of the Council chose him as Secretary-General of the Conference. He was also chosen as a member of the first Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization in the period between 1964-1966.

He lived in Jordan and devoted most of his activity to law.
