Teaching

Principles of Statistics: This course deals with statistics in the psychological, educational, social, and security fields. It includes the nature of statistics and areas of its use, samples, data tabulation, frequency distributions, measures of central tendency, measures of dispersion, correlation, regression line equation, probability, normal distribution, and testing of statistical hypotheses.

 Educational Psychology:  This course deals with the definition of educational psychology, its relationship with general psychology, educational goals in terms of their levels, and how to apply the concepts of the behavioral school in the learning process that facilitates the learning process, motivation and transfer of the learning effect, the appropriate classroom atmosphere for the learning process to occur, and the slow and disabled child’s learning.  Scientific research methods:  This course deals with the importance of scientific research methods, fields, and concepts. Principles of Psychology:  This course deals with the general psychological principles and laws of human behavior, the factors and variables that govern behavior, understanding behavior, predicting it, and judging it, introducing psychology, research methods in psychology, schools of psychology, the nervous system, motivations and behavior, emotions, processes. Security and Intelligence Psychology:  This course deals with the general concept of psychology, and deals with selection methods for security officers and security training according to the psychological foundations of security. It also deals with rumor and psychological warfare, and deals with parapsychology (supra-sensory phenomena). The course also deals with brainwashing, the process of intellectual modification, and psychological security. Threats to psychological security.  Military and Police Psychology:  This course, as one of the branches of psychology, is concerned with military topics, such as seeking the help of psychological experts to place every worker in the army in a place that suits his intelligence, aptitudes, and personality traits. It also deals with training to master work in the shortest time and with the least effort, and it talks about war neuroses and disorders. Psychosomatics: It deals with rumors, propaganda and media, and psychological warfare. It also addresses the psychological dimensions of military operations, military socialization, combat stress, sleep deprivation, fear and courage. At the end of the course, students will be able to describe the impact of these psychological factors on performance during military operations.

Criminal Psychology: This course deals with crime, its causes and motivations, and the sciences branching out from criminology, sciences related to criminal psychology, forensic biology, criminal sociology, forensic psychology, innate imbalances, instincts, important instincts and their imbalances, deviation of emotions, deviant emotions and prevention of their deviations, The psychological system, psychological and mental illnesses and the difference between them, stages of personality development and their patterns, the impact of psychological problems and illnesses on responsibility for the criminal crime. It also examines the nature of the criminal, the factors and methods that led the offender to fall into the quagmire of crime, personal and social factors, classification of criminals, It deals with the concepts related to criminal investigation, the bodies entrusted with the criminal investigation authority, the conditions that must be met by the criminal investigator, forensic photography, fingerprint science, skills in identifying traces of hands, knees, and lips, and the materials necessary to uncover the crime scene and its details.

Media Psychology:  This course deals with a definition of media psychology, its elements and fields, and its chapters range between the theoretical and practical aspects and others that combine the two sides, and are as follows: the psychology of the media in its print, audio and practical types, then it deals with how to build and organize the media message, and also discusses communication and communication. In media psychology, it dealt with the topic of language and persuasion, psychological warfare, psychological pressures and psychological burnout in media work: the psychology of the audience and the media, leadership and management in media psychology, skills in media psychology, the future of the media, and concluded with a chapter on concepts in psychology. Physiological Psychology:  This course deals with the importance of cognitive psychology, its historical development, introducing the student to higher mental processes such as perception, thinking, remembering, attention, processing information within the brain, the mechanism of the brain, how distorted perception affects memory and individual behavior, forgetting and its various applications. Psychological and educational measurement and evaluation:  This course deals with the concept and logic of psychological measurement, how to use psychological tests and methods of applying them, measuring personality traits, tendencies and trends, and intelligence tests and how to employ them in intervention and guidance programs and their practical use in security services. It also deals with practical training for the student on applying the tests. Psychological analysis on different samples, extracting results and interpreting them.

Introduction to Security Science:  This course is an introductory, foundational introduction to the principles of security science and constitutes a fulcrum from which students can proceed to more detailed courses. This course deals with the concept of security, its dimensions, levels, fields, and private security procedures and measures. It also addresses the attributes and qualities that must be present in a security man: personal traits, general appearance, performance and law enforcement, respect and prestige of the profession, the emotional and human side...), and the skills necessary to acquire, most notably the skill of security sense, as well as the controls and rules that govern the work of the security man.
