The President of Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie, Prof. Dr. Nour Al-Din Abu Al-Rub, turned the pioneering project of the third-year student in the College of Engineering, Sabri Mahmoud Odeh, into reality, as he contacted one of the industrial companies and received approval to adopt the idea of his project, which is to invent and design supporting tools for the ambulance stretcher. The company expressed its willingness to manufacture the stretcher and provide all the capabilities, to make it a high-quality product that will be marketed in the local and foreign markets and is attributed as a distinguished achievement for the student. Prof. Dr. Abu Al-Rub stressed during the meeting that the university is keen to follow up on its students, especially the distinguished ones, and provide the necessary support to develop their pioneering projects, and open horizons for them to engage in the labor market and implement them on the ground. In this context, Prof. Dr. Abu Al-Rub praised the project of inventing and designing supporting tools for the ambulance stretcher, in which the student Odeh participated in the twentieth Creative Forum in Jordan and won a gold medal among the best 39 projects, and a silver medal at the International Festival of Science, Technology and Engineering in Tunisia. He won fourth place in the Innovative Palestinian Youth Competition in which various local universities participated. Prof. Dr. Abu Al-Rub appreciated the student’s efforts and his continuous pursuit of academic excellence and representing the university in many scientific competitions at the local and international levels, in addition to translating scientific knowledge into pioneering projects that serve the Palestinian community and humanity in general, which is part of the university’s priorities in promoting the spirit of social responsibility. Creating an educated and aware generation capable of assuming responsibility and advancing development in various fields. For his part, the student thanked Odeh, the university president, for this reception and constant interest in the students and their innovative projects and following them up, appreciating the role of the university staff in providing the academic and logistical support necessary for the success of his project, stressing his strong keenness to represent Khadoori University in various forums in an honorable manner, indicating that he is about to participate in the exhibition. The Middle East Inventors International Conference, which will be held in Kuwait next month.
