Palestinian student Thuraya Muhammad Abu Salim (16 years old) from the Gaza Strip created the project “Saving a Child from Drowning.”
The idea of the project is to design an electronic warning device to predict drowning, with the aim of developing the skills of rescuers using modern technical applications instead of relying on traditional diligence and training.
The idea of the project is to design an electronic alarm device to save children and protect them from drowning in public swimming pools, by predicting the drowning process before it occurs, by dividing the pool area into three sections. The first section is the safe place, which is the natural place in which children are allowed to swim. The second section is The critical place is the place where, if the child reaches it, a signal is sent on the rescuer’s cell phone that there is a case of drowning through an electronic application. The third section is the dangerous place, which is the most dangerous place for children.
