How can a ten-year-old Palestinian refugee child in Lebanon understand that the reason he is prevented from participating with his schoolmates and traveling to one of the Arab countries is just that he is Palestinian?! And how can I explain to him that his problem is his Palestinian nationality and identity?!, and how can I convince him that he is Palestinian? He is not at fault, or accused, or a criminal, or different and outside the law?! This is the case of the Palestinian student Sarah Ajawi, who won third place in the Arab Reading Challenge in Lebanon, but she was prevented from traveling to Dubai to attend the closing ceremony of the large Arab demonstration “Arab Reading Challenge 2019” in its fourth session... and the reason is that she was placed on the list of others. Lebanese. Sarah was excluded, her dream was shattered, which stopped at the wall of injustice and discrimination, and she was deprived of her right as a creative human being. Her only sin is that she is a Palestinian refugee.

Before Sarah, the Palestinian student Mahmoud Othman suffered the same suffering, as he was prevented from participating in the finals of the Arab Robotics Championship organized by the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity in January of this year after the State of Kuwait refused to grant him an entry visa due to his Palestinian travel document, which prompted his colleagues The administration of his school, “Al-Maqasid in Sidon,” expressed its solidarity with him and apologized for not participating in the tournament.

In Lebanon, where many discriminatory policies are practiced towards the Palestinian refugee in schools and universities, we find some private schools refusing to enroll Palestinian students, as is the case with the Aisha Umm al-Mu’minin School, which this year refused to receive any Palestinian student, in addition to what dozens of people are subjected to. Palestinian students, whose doors are closed to many public schools, and this discrimination also applies to the Lebanese University, which sets a very small percentage for accepting Palestinian students in applied science colleges, especially in the colleges of “health, fine arts, tourism and hotels, media, engineering... this is in addition to Many distinguished Palestinian students at the Lebanese University were exposed to cases of discrimination, as many of them won the opportunity to obtain free scholarships for postgraduate studies in some Arab countries and were excluded and deprived of them because of their Palestinian nationality.

These are simple examples of the state of discrimination suffered by the Palestinian refugee in Lebanon. There are many cases of young people and students who have excelled and excelled in various fields over the past years. Here we should mention the Palestinian student Iqbal Al-Assaad, who entered the Guinness Book of Records twice, the first time when she was registered as the youngest medical student in the world. She was 14 years old, and the second time she graduated as the youngest doctor in the world was 20 years old. And the Palestinian student Raghad Ibrahim Al-Khatib, who won the UCMAS Mental Arithmetic Championship in 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and won the title of first runner-up in the tournament. And the Palestinian young man, Muhammad Awad, who obtained a patent for a device in the field of communications, from the Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade, as the device provides quick services in the field of issuing and packaging communications cards and transferring and receiving money within the country, and also the Palestinian engineer Amer Darwish, son of the Beddawi camp, who was able to make his mark in The world of invention and creativity through his smart device designed to drive heavy equipment and machinery and control them remotely via phone. He obtained a patent from the Ministry of Economy in Lebanon, but his holding an asylum document and his inability to travel deprives him of his right to promote and invest his invention globally, and the same applies to refugees. The Palestinian in Lebanon, Amer Hallaq, created an Android encryption application that is unique in the world, under the name “private identity.” The application is distinguished by the fact that it saves images and texts in a secret way that is almost impossible for hackers to penetrate.

This is a simple sample of the creativity and innovations of Palestinian youth in Lebanon over the past few years, and alongside it are many innovations that include scientific, sporting and cultural aspects, which if they were destined to receive care, embrace and protection, would reach the highest ranks and shine in the vast world.

Here the question arises: When will our Arab environment become an incubator for Palestinian excellence and creativity? When will the person and the Palestinian refugee feel that he is not shackled or restricted by racist laws and discriminatory policies that deprive him of his most basic rights? His right to a decent life, his right to dream and achieve his ambitions and plan for a promising future that will bring him out of the state of misery and deprivation he lives in Lebanon, his right to raise the name of Palestine and defend his existence in the face of attempts to erase and cancel his identity and national rights.

We used to read in Arab books and statements that Palestine is the first Arab issue, and that the Palestinian people have a special position and a high status among the Arab peoples, based on the Arab awareness of the nature of the injustice that the Palestinian people suffered due to the Nakba and the Israeli occupation of the land of Palestine, but we say today, with regret, that what We were reading it about the Arabs’ relationship with the issue and the Palestinian people. It completely contradicts the inhumane practices practiced by the official Arab regime against the Palestinian refugee, who is subjected to all forms of unjustified discrimination in some Arab countries, some of which have begun to open their airports to Israeli delegations and teams and close them to the Palestinian!! and allow Israeli contestants. Participate in sports and artistic competitions! A ban on Palestinian refugees is issued.

Although we are certain that the Arab peoples and their living forces are still Palestine’s compass, they are called upon today to restore the Palestinian issue to the status of being, as it truly is, the central Arab issue. This fact will not be changed by the endeavors and efforts of the conspirators who are working day and night to impose facts that contradict the facts of history and geography. That Palestine is not only the issue of the Palestinians, but the issue of the Arabs, and the issue of all free people in the world.

Here comes the role and responsibility of the Palestine Liberation Organization as the responsible and concerned body for Mutab
