Two Palestinian students won three places in the International Science, Engineering and Technology Festival in Tunisia, with the participation of 200 projects from 35 Arab and foreign countries.
Student Ibrahim Abahrah, from Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie, won first place in the engineering projects category, in addition to third place among all projects participating in the competition. He also won the gold medal for his project, which works to generate electrical energy from the suspension system while the vehicle's wheels vibrate when it is moving, by exploiting that energy to charge car batteries.
Student Youssef Jaafar also won second place in addition to the silver medal in the Environment and Energy Projects category for his project, which works to generate electrical energy outside the public grid by integrating gas produced from organic waste and solar cells.
