Current position: Head of the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics
Previous positions: Progression into several positions in the Statistics Bureau, the most recent of which was Assistant to the Head of the Bureau for Planning and International Cooperation

She currently holds the position of President of the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics and Secretary-General of the Advisory Council for Official Statistics. She has held high-ranking positions at the international level, most notably her position as President of the International Association for Official Statistics (IAOS) for the years 2015-2017, and she is a co-chair of a high-level United Nations team on Partnership, coordination and statistical capacity building for the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. It currently represents the Arab region in the high-level United Nations team to monitor indicators of the 2030 Sustainable Development Plan (SDG). It is also a member of many regional and international bodies and organizations, including:

She holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool, a Master’s degree in Applied Statistics from Birzeit University, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Boston University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Birzeit University. She has many research and scientific papers on the topics of sustainable development, gender, the labor market, the reality of the Palestinian economy, good governance, data dissemination, managing statistical work in times of crises, and management and communication.
