Muhammad Abu Asaker (born in Gaza, Palestine) holds the position of media officer and official spokesman for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the Gulf states. He also covers humanitarian crises in Syria, Iraq and Yemen.
education
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in the Faculty of Arts, English Department, from the Islamic University (Gaza) - Palestine, and received many training workshops in the art of leadership and management in the United States, Japan, Egypt and Palestine.
Mohamed obtained a master’s degree in international development and communications from the American University in Washington in 2007. He also served as deputy director of the Student Council for Graduate Studies at the same university.
In 2002, he published a human rights report through the Palestinian Human Rights Group (Rasd), under the title “The afflicted Rafah, destruction and suffering everywhere.”
