Bakr Abdel Fattah Abdel Haq (Breik Al-Akhrami) was born in Nablus to a son who works in the textile trade and spends a portion of his time writing and copying the Holy Qur’an, which their grandfather wrote in his own handwriting. He studied in government schools and graduated from Al-Rashadiya School in Nablus. The Ottoman Education Administration sent him to Damascus to study law and administration.
He studied for a full year in Damascus and headed to Beirut to resume his studies. During his studies in Beirut, World War I broke out, so he joined the army to become a supply officer in the Gaza region. He returned to Nablus on foot after the occupation of Gaza to work in his father's shop.
He became one of the founding teachers of the Teachers’ House in Jerusalem, whose teachers included the Iraqi poet Marouf al-Rusafi, and the well-known writer Isaaf al-Nashashibi was director of the Teachers’ Home. He returned to Nablus to work as a chemistry, physics, and mathematics teacher at Al-Najah College. He became director of the Hashemite School (Maktab al-Khan) and was transferred to the school as a teacher of history and mathematics. He was known for his interest in developing himself, and he obtained a higher teaching certificate, the result of a two-year course. After his retirement from government schools in 1948, he worked as a mathematics teacher in the monastery schools, the nuns, and Al-Najah College. He stopped teaching in 1974. He left two manuscripts on mathematics and religious studies.
