Information

He was born in the city of Nablus and studied in its schools. He obtained a law degree from Istanbul University with distinction. He joined the military service in Damascus in 1915. In the Arab government in Damascus, he worked as president of the Criminal Court and a professor of penal sciences at the Faculty of Law in Damascus. He became Minister of Justice in the government of the Emirate of Sharq. Jordan for several courses. In 1933, the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Justice, and the Chief Justice brought together the disappearance of the legal profession in Amman during his retirement from power, and he had a presence among the judges and lawyers. He formed the ministry in Amman for the fourth time on 4/24/1957 and took over the Ministry of Justice. After the establishment of the Hashemite Union, which he signed between Amman and Baghdad on February 14, 958, he became a member of the Arab Union Council. The Ministry of the Arab Union Government was formed, headed by Nouri Al-Saeed, and Ibrahim Hashem became Deputy Prime Minister. Suleiman Abdul Razzaq Touqan, Minister of Defense, and Khulusi Al-Khairi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

Yacoub Al-Awdat described him in his book (Among the Figures of Thought and Literature in Palestine) as “a just statesman who was known for his clean hands and his fragrant reputation in the sensitive positions he occupied during the Ottoman, Faisal and Jordanian eras. He was an honorable human being, a tactful politician, a well-versed jurist, a brilliant lawyer and a jurist who was famous for his awareness and erudition.” He left several books on law that are considered references for law school professors and students.
