Two Palestinian students won two gold medals of excellence and three silver medals from the Portuguese Foundation for Innovation, during their participation in the 11th International Exhibition of Inventions in the Middle East, in Kuwait, making it the first Palestinian participation in this exhibition.
The students of mechanical engineering and mechatronics engineering at Palestine Technical University, “Kadoorie,” Mufid Alawneh and Sabri Odeh, competed in the exhibition, which is considered one of the most important exhibitions in the world. In addition to more than 40 countries, and more than 120 innovations in various fields.
The student, Alawneh, participated in the “Wireless Irrigation and Fertilization System” project, which is an electronic control system that enables farmers to remotely control the irrigation of crops and detect diseases that affect them, to ensure their natural growth.
Student Sabri also participated in the electronic stretcher project aimed at facilitating the task of ambulance personnel and ensuring protection for them, comfort and privacy for the injured person during the transportation process, by containing additions and tools that can be quickly and easily dismantled and installed.
