Salem Barahmeh serves as the Executive Director of the Palestine Institute for Public Diplomacy and is a member of Al-Shabaka's policy network. His professional background includes diverse roles in international affairs, public diplomacy, and policy advising.
Barahmeh previously held positions as an international affairs advisor to Dr. Hanan Ashrawi at the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestine Investment Fund. He also gained experience at Portland Communications in London, where he served as a Policy and Public Affairs Advisor to Gulf governments. Additionally, Barahmeh worked for the Palestinian Embassy to the United States.
In terms of education, Salem Barahmeh earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Lawrence University. He furthered his academic pursuits with a Master of Arts degree in Law and Politics from King's College London. As a Non-Resident Fellow at the US Middle East Project, Barahmeh continues to contribute to discussions and initiatives concerning the Middle East region.
