Student Azhar Khalaf won; With the highest number of votes in the mock elections of the Young Journalists Syndicate held in the Information Department at Bizet University, thus becoming the first syndicate of young journalists in Palestinian history.

13 candidates competed for membership in the nominal union and won, including: Azhar Khalaf, Nagham Issa, Ismail Al-Sharafa, Maram Nasser, Farah Al-Barghouthi, Manar Shweiki and Aisha Hassouna.

These elections come within the framework of the “Young Media Professionals Defending Their Rights” project, which is implemented by the Palestinian Information and Youth Activation Authority (BYALARA), with support from and in partnership with the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, the universities of Jerusalem - Abu Dis, Birzeit, the Jerusalem Open University in Gaza, and Hebron University.
