Nisreen Faour (Hebrew: נסרין פאעור) (August 2, 1972 -) is a Palestinian actress. Known as Mona Farah in the movie America, she won the Muhr Award at the Dubai Film Festival.
Its upbringing
She was born in the village of Tarshiha. She studied in its schools until high school. Since her childhood, she was distinguished by her exhausting artistic spirit, which gave her opportunities to practice her talent in school educational activities. She also participated, when she was sixteen years old, in a student delegation to America in 1988, which was then called PEACE CHILD.
Professional biography
After completing high school, in 1991 she enrolled at the Institute of Performing Arts to study acting, and completed her education in theater directing at the University of Haifa. During and after her studies, she participated in several local theaters, including: “Al-Shorouk” Theater and the Children’s Theater, during which she played many roles with a wide range of content. Nisreen won the Best Acting Award at the Masrahid Festival in 1996, for her role in the play “Sarhan and Siniora,” written by Osama Masri and directed by Riyad Masarwa. In 2002, she won the Public Theater Award for the play “Wan Nono.” In 2008, director Sherine Daibes offered her a role in the Arab-American film America, which tells the story of a Palestinian immigrant in the United States. The film was a great success and was shown at several international festivals, and Nisreen won the Arab Muhr Award at the Dubai Film Festival for her role in the film. Nisreen participated as a judge in the jury panels at the Muscat International Festival and the Malmö Festival.
