Director Adnan Ahmed Al-Ramahi is one of the first founders of Jordanian television, and one of the pioneers of dramatic directing in the Arab world. He won the State Appreciation Award for the Arts in Jordan in 2014, and the Best Arab Directing Award at the Fourth Arab Television Festival in Tunisia in 1988 for his feature film “Bitter Tenderness.” It is the first Arab cinematic attempt to address the culture of dealing with people with disabilities in Arab society. His upbringing, studies and life

Director Adnan Ahmed Al-Ramahi was born in 1939 in the city of Lod in Palestine. He completed his primary education in Ramallah and Irbid, and his preparatory and secondary education at Maadi Model School in Cairo. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in cinematic art from the Academy of Cinema and Television in Babelsberg - Germany in 1965, and presented his film The first was “Rehearsal” for the Brecht Theater in Berlin, then he worked as a director on German television until 1968, and during this period he directed his first feature film, “Wisdom No. 4.” He worked as a director on Jordanian television from 1968-1977, then as an executive director and producer for UAE television. And other countries. In 1990, he immigrated to Germany and founded a television production company in the Media City in Leipzig, in partnership with Central German Television and Cinamedia Film Production and Distribution Company, the largest German production companies in Munich. He ended his company's work in 2014 and devoted himself full time to working as a director, producer, and trainer for making documentary films. He trained at Al-Quds College: Australian Media Institute and at the Jordanian Media Institute (2015).

 On April 27, 1968, the first day of broadcast on Jordanian television, his first Jordanian television documentary, “Twenty Years,” appeared on the screen, which presents the daily suffering of the Palestinian person in the Karama camp in the Jordan Valley after the Nakba of 1967. Among the most important plays and musical performances that he recorded for Jordanian television during that period were the play “Rasputin” with Youssef Wehbe, Amina Rizk and Imad Hamdi, the ballet “Romeo and Julia” with the Bolshoi International Ballet, and the play “Memoirs of a Madman” by Gogol, directed by him, and the play is an adaptation. Acted and produced by Nabil Sawalha, and “The Black Tents” by the Lebanese band Caracalla. During this period, he directed “Hooks and Swords,” the first attempt by a Jordanian television singer about the Battle of Karameh, composed and music by the Jordanian Radio Music Band and written by Haider Mahmoud. In 1975, Adnan Al Ramahi was chosen to cover and document the official visits of the late King Hussein bin Talal, and under his supervision, filming teams from television stations from Japan, Australia, Canada, and America worked in Tokyo, Kyoto, Sydney, Manila, Tehran, Damascus, London, Ottawa, Washington, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
