Heba Fahmi Youssef Akila, also known as Umm Muhannad, was born on August 9, 1971, in the Gaza Strip. She is a Palestinian journalist who has made significant contributions to Palestinian media. Heba is recognized as one of the pioneers of journalistic work in Palestine.
Her career in journalism began in 1994 when she joined the Voice of Palestine Radio shortly after its founding. Just two months later, she transitioned to the Palestine Satellite Channel, where she served as a news anchor and program presenter.
