Dr Osama Hamed is a consultant Surgical Oncologist and Minimally Invasive Surgeon at King Hussein Cancer Center. He comes to KHCC after training in the United States. He finished General Surgery training in Cincinnati OH, and become Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. After that he was able to pursue 2 fellowships in Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery at University of Maryland in Baltimore and Fellowship in Liver, Pancreas and Foregut Tumors Surgery at Penn State Cancer Institute in Hershey Pennsylvania. Having done these 2 fellowships makes him one of few people in the wold with such background and training to further expand the use of Minimally Invasive techniques in complex Surgical Oncology procedures especially in complex Gastrointestinal cancer cases.
