Mohammad was born and raised in Hebron (Al-Khalil), Palestine in 1944, completing his secondary education in the homeland before setting sail to undertake tertiary studies in Syria. Mohammad completed his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Aleppo University.

In Kuwait, Mohammad was employed by the Ministry of Electricity and Water. He was later appointed the head of the department in 1970. 
With a business-driven mindset, Mohammad elected to change course and ventured to establish his first business; a steel factory that grew to become renowned within the Gulf industrial revolution for the manufacturing of heavy vehicles body parts. 
During the period of 1970-1983, Mohammad also established Hammouri & Hattab Co. Ltd for Transportation. The company’s trucks carried cargo across the Middles East. In the year 1985, Hammouri & Hattab Co. Ltd for Transportation was contracted to transport a million ton of petrol from Iraq to Jordan yearly. 
In 1978, Mohammad established and the was the executive chairman of the Jordanian Engineering Association for the production of automobiles and steel construction. 
In 1985, Mohammad also established Al-Barakh company for animals and agricultural products. The company became the leading producer of its kind in Jordan.
With ambition to extend cooperation internationally, in 1986 Mohammad gained partnership in a real estate company in the United States of America.  
In 1990, he additionally participated in establishing the Leading Corporation for Assembling, Maintaining and Repairing of Computers and Electrical Equipment in Canada. Mohamed was its managing Director for three years. While in Canada, Mohammad was also appointed as the honorary chairperson of the Arab community owing to his contribution to the advancement of the community. 
Between 1990 and 1995, Mohammed was appointed Chairman of the "Jordan Animal Resources Corporation". Under his leadership, the association increased the variety of its products to meet the needs of the Jordanian local markets and reached a total investment of about fifty million Jordanian Dinars. Mohamed was later the company's representative for the private sector.
Between 1991 and 1995 Mohammed was also appointed member of the consultation council of the Zarka district, Jordan.
In 1997, Mohammad established the company Off-shore in Cyprus for international trade.
During the early 2000s, Mohammad established the Global Exhibition Centre in Beijing, Shanghai and Guanjo, China. Trading in imports and exports. 
Over the years, Mohammed has participated several times in the Jordan Economic Forum and has presented a paper in relation to the opportunities available for investments in Jordan and in the Middle East.
Mohammad has also participated in conferences and forums regarding food safety in the Middle East. His contributions included offering initiatives to reduce the shortage through importations. 
With purpose of increasing food safety in the Middle East, Mohammad helped develop several projects in the Arab world to develop animal food resources in Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, and Oman. 
His contribution also included several research and studies in the nutritional status of the Middle East, specifically focusing on Animal produce.  
Mohammad was granted memberships of the following unions and chambers:
A member of the Co-operative Society Union. 
A member of the Jordanian Chamber of Commerce
A member of the Arab Businessmen Association 
A member of the Arab-Europe Union of commerce
A member of the Arab Union for Food Manufacture
A member of the Jordanianm Indonesian, German, Dutch, and Danish Friendship Association 
After migrating to Australia, Mohammad was appointed the chairman of the Australian Associated Meat Supplies. AAMS has developed Australian meat export to all over the world. It also annually supplies Australian meat for Kurban, contracted for an average of 40,000 Kurbans yearly.

In 2014, Mohammad with sight on helping develop the homeland and promote local employment, has initiated the Al-Hammouri Real Estate Development Project in his hometown, Hebron. 
With his work in non-for-profit organisation, Mohammad was appointed the leadership of the Australian Jordanian Association and the honary chairman of the Al-Nashama Association
