 At the “All For Palestine” Board of Trustees’ Meeting
 
Abu-Ghazaleh Announces Unprecedented Initiative 'Palestinian Around the World… How Many Are We?'
 
Abu-Ghazaleh reveals the registration of the Society’s regional office in Amman, following Paris.

 
AMMAN --- January 14, 2013 --- The Board of Trustees for the All For Palestine Society was convened in Amman to discuss some significant topics and the achievements realized in the past months mainly the gathering of 5000 names for Palestinian intellects, innovators and talents on the global level including details of their creativity and role wherever they exist.
 
HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of the Society, extended his gratitude to members and founders of the Board for the commitment and devotion to the Society’s mission.
 
HE Abu-Ghazaleh revealed the registration of the Society’s regional office in Amman, following Paris saying, “Jordan has been selected to host the regional office of the Society following its registration as a French society in accordance with Law No. 1901 in September 2011; with its headquarters in France this affirms the international and Arab recognition of our Society.”
 
Attendees agreed on a suggestion by HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh to launch the “Palestinian around the World.. How Many Are We?” initiative and to entrust a team of specialized experts to conduct a study addressing the approximate number of Palestinians around the world which enormously surpasses all the current declared figures.” 
 
“What we are seeking to achieve is far away from politics. We want to say to the whole world that “All For Palestine” initiative narrates the story of Palestinian talented and distinguished people whether were they political personalities, businessmen and economists, writers, poets, academics, actors, artists, athletes among others who brought about significant successes and accomplishments at different levels. Some of those Palestinians have received international certificates and awards and would be the right models for the youth to follow,” he added.
 
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh gave examples including poets Mahmoud Darwish and Fadwa Touqan, the academic Dr. Edward Said, Dr. Zuhair Al Halis, President of El Salvador  Elías Antonio Saca, Dr. Ghassan Said, Dr. Nsouh Al Nabulsi,
 
 
 
Mr. Abdul Hamid Shoman, artist Samer Abu Ajamieh, Dr. Iqbal Al Asaad (world youngest doctor) among others.
 
During the meeting, a new executive committee was formed headed by HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh with the membership of Dr. Sabri Saidam, Mr. Ziad Al Aloul, HE former Ambassador Hasan Abu Nemeh, Dr. Khalid Salaymeh, Mr. Nafiz Al Husseini and Mr. Haitham Salim Zuaitar.
 
Members of the executive committee are original members of the Board of Trustees that also suggested Mr. Samer Said Khoury, Dr. Abu-Obaidah Hafez, HE Ambassador Hasan Abdul Rahman, Mr. Mohammad Ghazal, Dr. Ali Marouf, Ms. Zainab Hani Al Hasan, Mr. Patrick Lama, and Dr. Mohammad Al Taweel in addition to Dr. Mohammad Tarboush.
 
The attendees were also briefed about the development of the electronic website of the All For Palestine Society, and its interaction on the social networks (Twitter, Facebook and Youtube) along with the original content that encompasses comprehensive information about the foundation, mission and programs of the Society.
 
They also discussed the mechanism of access to the largest number possible of Palestinians to shed light on their role and contributions to the countries they live in and consequently their impact on human civilization.
 
The Board of Trustees’ upcoming meeting has been scheduled to take place in Amman on June 23, 2013.
