Al-Haj Mahmoud Abdel Baqi (Abu Khattab): A Jordanian Islamic preacher of Palestinian origin from the village of Bala’a in the Tulkarm District. He held a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies in Law and Sharia from Kuwait University. He worked in charitable activities, specializing in religious lectures and lessons in Kuwait for nearly five decades.
He was one of the founders of the first Zakat Committee in the Arab world, the Al-Othman Zakat Committee. He passed away on January 9, 2020, while delivering a religious sermon.
