Information

Abu Suhaib Al-Karmi or Hassan Abdul Manan Mahmoud Al-Karmi ( 1964 -) is a Jordanian-Palestinian sheikh and Islamic researcher, originally from the Palestinian city of Tulkarm . He is a hadith researcher, a historical researcher, and one of the hadith scholars in the modern era. He has written more than one hundred and fifty books. He published a number of books and published others, the most important of which are: Sahih Al-Bukhari , Sahih Muslim, and Tafsir Ibn Kathir . He is in great disagreement with Sheikh Al-Albani and Ali Al-Halabi, who attacked him and described him as a destroyer of the Sunnah.

His upbringing and life

Sheikh Abu Suhaib Al-Karmi was born in 1964 in Mafraq , Jordan. He is from the Palestinian city of Tulkarm . He grew up in Jordan, and his father was an Azhar who graduated from Al-Azhar in 1936. Abu Suhaib Al-Karmi began to draw from his father’s library from a young age, and he wrote He wrote about forty books, including the book Rafa’ al-Mulam in 1939 .

His father died in 1979 at the age of seventy, and Hassan was his youngest child. He was fifteen years old at the time, so he became active in reading from his father’s library. He turned first to reading books on language, grammar, morphology, and rhetoric, and he devoted himself to them until he read more than one hundred and fifty volumes in Grammar and morphology in particular, including Al-Kitab by Sibawayh , Al-Muqtadsib by Al-Mubarrad , Al-Usul by Ibn Al-Siraj , commentaries on Al-Malifiyah, commentaries on Al-Ajrumiyya, commentaries on Al-Azhariya, Sharh Al-Alfiyyat Al-Suyuti, books by Ibn Al-Anbari , Ibn Hisham and Al-Suyuti , and others. Then he turned little by little to books of interpretation such as Al-Zamakhshari, Al-Fakhr Al-Razi , Al- Alusi , Al-Qasimi , and Rashid Rida , and books on the sciences of the Qur’an, then books on Hadith and its sciences, books on jurisprudence and its principles, and books on biography and history. He devoted himself to these books for about five years and learned a lot from them, and since that time he has been searching for confirmation and understanding. During that period, he wrote two books, one of which was about the language and was four hundred pages long.

In 1984 , he worked with Al-Karmi Sheikh Shuaib Al-Arnaouti , and participated with him in editing a number of books, including Sahih Ibn Hibban , Al-Awasim and Al-Qawasim, and Sharh Mushkil Al-Athar. This work gave him good experience in the science of hadith, and he fully understood those gaps that the hadith scholars had noticed, and that the later scholars misunderstood the predecessors in their texts and works, so he was active in understanding their rules from their books and comparing them to each other, and came up with a new understanding that reduces those gaps. At that time, he clashed with Sheikh Al-Albani and his students, and discussed with Al-Albani the hadith of Al-Irbad bin Sariya and other things. Over time, Al-Albani took revenge on him at the instigation of his students, so he wrote a special book in it, which is: “Advice to warn against Ibn Abd al-Mannan’s sabotage of the reliable books of the imams and his weakening of hundreds of authentic hadiths.” He was mentioned several times in his books: Al-Sahih, Da’eef Al-Adab Al-Mufrad, Sahih Al-Adab Al-Mufrad, Musical instruments, and Many Tapes. The fair-minded person sees that many of them occurred by making mistakes and not understanding the consequences.

At the beginning of the nineties, Al-Karmi wrote a group of books, such as the book Contemporary Conditions, The Myth That Collapsed, Scientific Thefts, and Connecting the Wombs, and books by Ibn al-Qayyim, and he also edited the letters of Muhammad Nasib al-Rifai .

In 1998, he began his broader activity with the House of Ideas, and wrote and published many books.

Sheikh Abu Suhaib Al-Karmi met with Sheikh Muhammad Al-Ghazali several times. Sheikh Al-Ghazali wrote introductions to a number of Al-Karmi’s books, such as the book Sahih Muslim, Tafsir Ibn Katheer, Al-Sarqat, and The Myth That Was Fallen, and praised the translator a lot and counted him among the scholars of his time.

Al-Karmi also met with Sheikh Al-Qaradawi and was amazed by his knowledge and memorization and wrote for him an introduction to Tafsir Ibn Kathir.

Sheikh Abu Suhaib Al-Karmi met with a group of scholars and a discussion took place between them, such as the sheikhs: Abdul Qadir Al-Arnaout , Muhammad Eid Abbasi , Zuhair Al-Shawish , Ali Khashan , Nour Al-Din Atar, Muhammad Ibrahim Shaqra, Hussein Asad, Ihsan Abbas , Muhammad Al-Ashqar , Omar Al-Ashqar , and Ibrahim Al-Samarrai . Taha Jaber Al-Alwani , Bashar Awad Marouf , and others.

Among his books that were not printed

“Encyclopedia of Pre-Islamic Poetry”: It is divided into twenty-five huge volumes, and it includes the poetry of about two thousand pre-Islamic poets who were mentioned in collections, collections, linguistic sources, and manuscripts. The total was about one thousand five hundred books of sources. He mentioned in this encyclopedia every verse and the disagreement in its narration and attribution from the aforementioned sources.
“The Indexed Dictionary of Hadith Terms”: It is also in twenty-five volumes, in which he mentioned one hundred and twenty important books of hadith, the principles and what branches from them, and made it accurate, avoiding the methodological errors of the Orientalists in nine books. It is an accurate book, easy to access and easy to refer.
“Training the Narrator”: The author discussed it in every word, and explained many of the mistakes of the hadith scholars, which the later scholars supported with evidence.
“Tafsir Ibn Katheer”: It consists of ten volumes, containing a summary and ruling on hadiths and narrations, a comparison with the more and incomplete editions of interpretation, and a comparison with Al-Tabari’s interpretation .
“Encyclopedia of Jinns and Demons”: It is about a thousand pages, of which one chapter has been printed, which is the myth that has fallen. This book contains a complete detail of the hadiths and a discussion of their confirmation and denial.
“The Great History of Al-Bukhari Collected to Al-Jarh, Al-Ta'deel, and Al-Thiqat”: It is located in two large volumes, about 3,500 pages, in small print. He made each translation of the three books comparable to another. This is not an easy task because the names differ from one book to another, so the order in the names in all of them does not follow the same pattern. This is what sometimes caused later scholars to translate the narrator into two translations due to the difference in the name in each book. In this combination, the transfer, falsification, and distortion of the original book, Al-Tarikh Al-Kabir, appears.
“The Book by Sibawayh with Three Commentaries”: I arranged the scattered commentaries by Al-A’lam , Al-Serafi, and Abu Ali Al-Farsi in the book.
“The Comprehensive Book of Grammar”: The book “ Ibn Aqeel on the Alfiyyah of Ibn Malik ” was contrasted in the other column with Ibn Hisham’s explanation of the Alfiyyah, and he discussed their work, commented on them, commented on the evidence, and made more than five times as many sequels to it as Ibn Aqeel and Ibn Hisham .
“Indices of the Manuscript of Masalik Al-Absar by Ibn Fadl Allah Al-Omari”: It is a manuscript book in twenty-seven volumes, for which he created about twenty indexes in cooperation with Fuad Sezgin .
“Explanation of the Wasitiyyah Creed by Al-Uthaymeen: In it he commented on every detail and occurrence in the book, discussing the authenticity of what is in the book.
The book “Al-Jami’ fi Discussion of Hadith Fundamentals”: It is a huge book that is difficult to understand these days.
The book “Al-Jami’ fi Understanding Qur’anic Verses”: It is a huge book that has not been prepared for this time.
The book “Sahih Muslim”: It was compiled and all its hadiths were discussed, and all the hadiths that contained reasons or objections in the texts were explained.
