The Palestinian
young woman, Amera Ismail, succeeded in obtaining an international referee
license from the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), becoming the first
girl to win the title of international referee in Gaza.
Amira, who
studied pharmacy, obtained the license after passing exams organized by the
federation via the Internet.
In addition to
Ismail, 14 other people hold the title of international referee in the Strip,
all of them men, while there are only four women's teams in Gaza.
