Ihab Mahmoud Hamad Abu Jazar (born September 1, 1980) is the coach of the Palestine national football team and a former player in the Palestine national team , and a number of Palestinian clubs. He held the position of technical director of the Palestinian Olympic team until 2024. On December 3, 2024, the Palestinian Football Association announced his appointment as technical director of the Palestinian national team.
Ihab Abu Jazar is a former Palestinian footballer and current coach, known for his leadership both on and off the pitch.
His playing career began with Rafah Youth, where he played from 1997 to 2014, marking a long and dedicated tenure. During the 2009–2010 season, he went on loan to Hilal Al-Quds, followed by a move to Al-Amari Youth in 2014–2015. He later joined Samou Youth for the 2015–2016 season, before returning to Al-Amari Youth in 2016–2017.
Abu Jazar also proudly represented the Palestinian national team, where he played a number of international matches and had the honor of wearing the captain’s armband.
Transitioning into coaching, he began his managerial career with Al-Amari Youth, coaching the team from 2017 to 2020. He was then appointed as the head coach of the Palestine Olympic team from 2020 to 2024, before being named the head coach of the Palestine national team in 2024. His career reflects a deep commitment to the development of Palestinian football at both the club and national levels.
