Ruben Salman: A Chilean football referee of Palestinian origin from the city of Bethlehem. He began his refereeing career when he was in his twenties in the second and third divisions in Chile. In the nineties, he began managing Premier League matches, and then FIFA decided to accredit him as an international referee in 1998. He has refereed many important matches, both internationally and locally, and he also refereed matches in the World Cup tournaments in 2006 and 2010, including refereeing the Brazil-Colombia match in the qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup.
