Maher Abdelkader: An American engineer and activist of Palestinian origin from the town of Al-Mazra’a Al-Sharqiya in the Ramallah District. He is the former President of the Arab Engineers Association in America and serves as the Chief Director of the New York City Office responsible for business development in the public and private sectors.
He received the Gold Award for Best Architectural Design in the Eastern United States in 2019, and also won the Gold Award for Project Management for the restoration of the longest vehicular arch bridge in the Eastern U.S., the Henry Hudson Bridge.
