Muath Barakat: A Russian doctor of Palestinian origin from the town of Allar in the Tulkarm district. He obtained his doctorate in orthopedic medicine and surgery in 2007. Since 2008, he has been the director of the Center for Orthopedic Surgery and Joints in Petrozavodsk, located in the far northwest of Russia. He has authored more than 80 scientific papers and holds 5 patents in the field of medicine. He recently published a book in Russian about methods of surgery for multiple and complex fractures.
