Information
Nader Al-Khatib: A Palestinian engineer from the Jerusalem district. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU) in Turkey and a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from Loughborough University of Technology in the United Kingdom. He is fluent in Arabic, English, and Hebrew.
He worked as a consultant with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to help establish the Palestinian Water Authority in Gaza. He is the Director General of the Water and Environmental Development Organization (WEDO), a Palestinian non-profit organization that works to promote a number of environmental programs and projects focused on water quality monitoring and water conservation.
He is also the Director of Friends of the Earth Middle East, a regional environmental organization, and a member of Friends of the Earth International, the world’s largest grassroots environmental network. Mr. Nader Al-Khatib is also considered one of the senior water resources engineers working with the United Nations Development Programme.
