Qusay Al-Halaika is a young Palestinian from the town of Al-Shuyukh, north of the city of Hebron. He is considered the youngest certified meteorological observer in Palestine and in neighboring countries.
His interest in monitoring weather phenomena began at an early age and grew over time. While in the tenth grade, he launched a dedicated weather website in Palestine, which was the first site named “Palestine Weather.”
He completed a training course at the Palestinian meteorological departments in Ramallah and Hebron. In addition to his detailed personal monitoring, he developed the ability to read weather maps and forecast weather conditions, with forecast accuracy reaching up to 90% according to monitoring and verification reports.
He is accredited as a weather observer by most local radio stations, television channels, and several news agencies, providing daily weather updates. He has received numerous certificates in the field of forecasting from local and regional institutions.
