Khalil Abu Arafa is a Palestinian architect, cartoonist and writer, born in the Old City of Jerusalem in 1957. He has published his cartoons in the Al-Quds newspaper since 1994.

He holds a master's degree in architecture from Kyiv University of Architecture - Ukraine 1983. He works in the field of architecture. Lecturer at Birzeit University in the Department of Architecture between 1987 and 1997.

He published his caricatures since 1883 and 1994 in the following Palestinian newspapers and magazines: Al-Ittihad Haifa newspaper, Al-Fajr newspaper, Al-Shaab newspaper, Al-Mithaq newspaper, Al-Ahed magazine, Venus magazine, Al-Raya newspaper, Al-Seyassah newspaper, Canaan newspaper and others.

Chief writer for the children's television program "Open Sesame" - the Palestinian version in 1997.

He was arrested three times by the Israeli occupation authorities for his political activities in 1986, 1991 and 1992 and imprisoned for a total of 14 months.

A founding member of the Caricatures for Peace Group, based in Paris.
