Hashem Hassan Hashem Al-Dajani (born in Amman ) is a Palestinian diplomat who served as ambassador to Zimbabwe and South Africa. Since 2020, he has served as the Palestinian ambassador to Ukraine .
Academic achievement
He received a master's degree in international relations and international law from Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv in 1984.
Practical life
Between 1987 and 1995, he served as Deputy Director of the Information Office of the Palestine Liberation Organization in Finland . Between 1995 and 2006, he became Deputy Head of the Palestinian Mission to Finland , and Advisor and Acting Head of Mission.
On 23 December 2007, Dajani was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Zimbabwe , and on 8 March 2008 he presented his credentials, continuing in the position until 16 September 2015.
On 17 March 2010, he presented his credentials as Non-Resident Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the State of Malawi , and continued in office until 16 September 2015.
On 28 September 2015, he was appointed Ambassador of the State of Palestine to South Africa , and presented his credentials on 26 November 2015, and continued in office until 1 December 2019.
In 2016, he presented his credentials as a non-resident Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Namibia , and to the Kingdom of Lesotho and continued in the position until 1 December 2019.
He has been a member of the Palestinian National Council since April 2018.
In February 2020, he presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Ukraine to the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, and in May 2020 to the Ukrainian President.
