Imad al-Din Abdullah Salim Hamdan ( Abu Dia ; July 5, 1967 in Ramallah ) is a Palestinian writer who has held the position of Minister of Culture in the government of Muhammad Mustafa since March 2024.  He holds a BA in Public Administration from Yarmouk University , and a Master's degree in Sustainable Development and Institution Building. He holds associate degrees from several universities, including Oxford University in Britain . 

His life

On March 28, 2024, President Mahmoud Abbas approved the ministerial formation of the nineteenth Palestinian government headed by Muhammad Mustafa and granted it confidence.  On March 31, 2024, Hamdan took the legal oath as Minister of Culture at the Palestinian presidential headquarters in the city of Al-Bireh . 

His career

Hamdan served as Director General of the Hebron Rehabilitation Committee , Director of the Historic Towns Revitalization Program with the Belgian Cooperation Agency ( BTC ), and worked as a lecturer at a number of local universities, and as a lecturer and public relations trainer in many institutions.

He is a board member of several associations and institutions, including: ICOMOS Palestine Association, the National Committee for World Historic Sites, Chairman of the Ariaf Heritage Association, the Nabto Association for Alternative Tourism, the National Committee for Tangible and Intangible Heritage, and Chairman of the Administrative Board of the Zeitoun Suburb Housing Association in Hebron .
