Muhammad Ibrahim al-Barghouti is a Palestinian politician who served as Minister of Labor in Ismail Haniyeh's first government ,  and Minister of Local Government in Ismail Haniyeh's second government . 

Early life and education

He was born in the town of Kobar in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate . He graduated from Al-Quds University with a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science, and obtained a Master’s degree in Management from An-Najah National University . He worked as the head of the Islamic Charitable Society in Al-Bireh . He is a freed prisoner and a former wounded person. 

Positions

Barghouti was sworn in before Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas as Minister of Labor on March 30, 2006 in Ismail Haniyeh's first government ,  and was then re-selected as Minister of Local Government on March 18, 2007 in Ismail Haniyeh's second government .
