Muhammad Munther Suleiman Mahmoud Salah (Abu Nasser; born April 20, 1936 in Nablus  – died May 14, 2023 in Amman) was a Palestinian academic . He was the president of An-Najah National University , Minister of Higher Education , and later the president of the Arab American University ,  and the head of the Arab Open University branch in Palestine .

He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow . 

Practical life

In October 1981, he was chosen to be the president of An-Najah National University . He spent one year in the position due to the decision of the Israeli occupation authorities to deport him from the West Bank . He returned in 1984 and assumed the presidency of the university for a second time. 
On August 9, 1998, he assumed the portfolio of the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education within Yasser Arafat's third government and continued until June 13, 2002. 
On April 1, 2005, he assumed the presidency of the Arab American University in Jenin and continued until March 31, 2007.
