Nimer Hammad ( 1941 - September 29, 2016 ) was the political advisor to Palestinian Presidents Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas .
About his life
Born in the village of Al-Kuwaikat in Acre in 1941. He previously served as the Palestinian ambassador to Italy, and served as a political advisor to former Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat , a position he held until his death. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas appointed him by decree in 2008 to oversee the media institutions affiliated with the presidency: the General Information Service , the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), and the Palestinian Radio and Television Corporation .
His death
Hammad died in Beirut on September 29, 2016, and his body was buried in the Martyrs' Cemetery in Beirut.
