Jamal Abdul Latif Saleh Al-Shoubaki (born 1952 in Idhna ) is a Palestinian politician, diplomat, and member of the Fatah movement .  He was Minister of Local Government in the Mahmoud Abbas government ,  and the first and second governments of Ahmed Qurei between 2003 and 2005.  During the first government of Ahmed Qurei , he held the portfolio of Minister of Youth and Sports. 

His life

Al-Shoubaki was born in the town of Idhna in the Hebron Governorate during the period of Jordanian administration of the West Bank to a Palestinian family that had migrated from the village of Beit Jibrin (destroyed during the 1948 war ) in the Hebron District .  He holds a BA in Geography from Beirut Arab University . 

Al-Shoubaki received 24,346 votes in the 1996 Palestinian general elections , and became a member representing the Hebron Governorate district in the first Palestinian Legislative Council . 

On March 30, 2003, he was appointed Minister of Local Government in the government of Mahmoud Abbas, which lasted until October 5, 2003. Al-Shoubaki continued in his position as Minister of Local Government in the first government of Ahmed Qurei ,  and in the second government of Ahmed Qurei until February 24, 2005.  He was Minister of Youth and Sports during the first government of Ahmed Qurei . 

On June 25, 2006, he presented his credentials as the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Saudi Arabia and continued in the position until 2013.  Later, between 2014 and 2017, he was the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Egypt and its delegate to the Arab League .  In 2009, the sixth Fatah conference was held in Bethlehem , and he won membership in the Fatah Revolutionary Council, which continued until 2017. 

On November 1, 2017, he was appointed Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Morocco ,  and on January 26, 2018, he presented his credentials as Ambassador of Palestine to the King of Morocco .
