Suleiman Daoud Al-Shurafa (Abu Tariq; 1931- May 19, 2021) is one of the founders of the Palestinian Fatah movement .
His career
Suleiman Al-Sharafa was born in the city of Beersheba, then moved to Gaza to continue his education, then moved to Egypt to complete his university studies, and from there to Qatar to work in the summer of 1957, where he met Mahmoud Abbas and the martyr Abu Youssef Al-Najjar , and participated in the founding of the Fatah movement.
Al-Sharafa worked as a representative of the Fatah movement in Iraq in August 1968, and supervised the formation of Iraqi popular support committees, which collected aid for the Palestinian revolution. Al-Sharafa also worked as a representative of the Fatah movement in Libya for years, two weeks after the 1969 coup in Libya in September 1969.
Medals
President Mahmoud Abbas awarded him the Order of Merit and Excellence for his struggle in 2016, when Abbas sent the Chief Justice of Palestine and his advisor for religious affairs and Islamic relations, Mahmoud Al-Habbash, to London to honor the honorees.

He has a book called The Memoirs of Suleiman Al-Sharafa “Abu Tariq” published by Tabaq Publishing and Distribution House , published in Ramallah in 2020.
Death
Sulaiman Al-Sharafa died on May 19, 2021 in London , England.
