Samia Abdelkader: An Italian politician of Palestinian origin, born in Perugia, central Italy. She studied sociology and runs a project called "Aisha" to combat violence against women. She became the first Muslim woman to succeed in entering the parliament of Milan, Italy's economic capital, after running for the city council on the Democratic Party list, led by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. She received 1,016 votes in the city council elections for the city, which is considered the country's economic capital.
