Joaquin Toma Zidan: A Chilean politician of Palestinian origin from the city of Bethlehem, he holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Catholic University. He served as Director of the Association of Agricultural Structures and then as President of the Chamber of Retailers in Temuco. In 2007, he became President of the Party (For Democracy) for the La Araucanía region. He was elected as a member of the Temuco Municipal Council, where he served as President of the Housing Committee and the Urban Development Council. In 2013, he was elected as a member of the Chilean Congress.
