Majdi Abdel Rahman Muhammad Al-Khalidi (April 14, 1961) is a Palestinian diplomat, ambassador and minister, holding the position of advisor to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for diplomatic affairs, and a member of the Palestinian National Council in the Palestine Liberation Organization.

His upbringing and educational attainment
Majdi Abdel Rahman Muhammad Al-Khalidi was born in Egypt on April 14, 1961, his father is a Palestinian refugee who immigrated in 1948 from the city of Ramle in Palestine. Magdy Al-Khalidi received his primary, preparatory and secondary education in schools in Egypt, and obtained the Egyptian Secondary Certificate.

Al-Khalidi obtained a bachelor’s degree in “engineering” from Romania in 1984, after which he left for Canada and the United States of America, where he obtained a master’s degree in “technology industry,” then obtained a doctorate in “management” from Mexico, and a diploma in “governance.” Al-Rasheed from Harvard University.

His political and diplomatic life
Al-Khalidi participated in the Palestinian negotiating team between 1992 and 1993, and in 2002 became assistant undersecretary for the Palestinian Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.

In 2004 Al-Khalidi became an advisor to Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas, and in 2005 he became an advisor to the elected Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and in the same year he received the rank of ambassador in the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and in 2013 he received the rank of minister.
