Youssef Shaddad is a journalist, writer and presenter of political news programs on Makan TV and Radio. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Bar-Ilan University in Media and Communication. He has been working in the field of written and audio-visual journalism since 1997.

Work in the radio - until now

In 2017, he joined Radio Makan in the Arabic language as an editor and presenter of news programs, and began presenting the program Hadith Al-Youm - Hadith Al-Zuhair, which is a daily news program on current political, news, criminal and social affairs. Previously working in radio

In 1997, he joined the Voice of Israel Radio in Arabic, in the Sports Department, where he worked on transmitting important and historical football matches for the Arab community, and among the ancient clubs whose matches were broadcasted were Maccabi Al-Akhaa Nazareth, Ittihad Bnei Sakhnin, Maccabi Haifa, the Israeli national team, and hundreds of other matches. In addition to his radio coverage of the Nazareth municipal elections in 2003 and 2008, in a direct and field broadcast of all events around the clock. He also presented weekly sports reports to the One X Two sports program on the Champions League and various European leagues, in addition to sports news reports on what is happening in European and South American football. In 2013 he joined the Programs Department of Voice of Israel and began presenting the programs Agenda and Talk of the North. The Talk of the North program was a qualitative leap in his career due to its success in dealing with local political, social and criminal issues from Arab cities and towns in the north after these issues were neglected by the media. One of the most prominent stations in the program was the confrontation between Ali Salam and Ramez Jraysi before the municipal elections of Nazareth in March of 2014.

He started his career in the world of written journalism in Al-Sinara newspaper, where he worked as a correspondent for local, political and sports affairs from 1999 until 2001 - three years. Then he moved to the Panorama newspaper and the Panet website and worked there as a correspondent for local, national, political, criminal and sports affairs from 2002 to 2007 - 5 years. He was the first Arab reporter to work with direct coverage from the field after the Panet website was established, and press coverage became limited to direct correspondence from the heart of the event for all events, in addition to the newspaper's special reports and its appendix. Also, over the course of 5 years, he wrote sports articles entitled - Football Thoughts - which included harsh criticism and analysis of local and international football affairs.

 

On May 5, 2007, he left the Panorama and Panet Foundation, and after four months, he joined the Kol Al-Arab newspaper in September 2007, where he was appointed editor-in-chief of the newspaper's Al-Arab website. Arab center. Through Arab Net TV affiliated with the Foundation, he conducted political dialogues with representatives in the Knesset and various public, popular and social figures. After ten years and five months (January 30, 2018), he finished his work at Kul Al-Arab and the Al-Arab website, then moved to work full-time with Makan Radio and TV.

In 2018 - the World Cup in Russia 2018, he was assigned to manage the World Cup file - editing, presenting and transmitting the facts of matches in a historical television event for the first time at the level of broadcasting and transmitting matches to the Arab audience in the country via Makan TV. He worked as a presenter and analyst for the first Israeli channel in the Arabic language - Channel One chose him to work as an analyst in the 2002 World Cup, which was hosted by South Korea and Japan.

 

Earlier, he was chosen as a presenter and producer of sports programs on the first Israeli channel in the Arabic language, to be an analyst in the 2002-2007 Sports Hour program.

 

And in 2010 - Israeli TV channel 33 chose him to present the studio for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa from Jerusalem.
