Omar Khashram (born in 1962 in Aqabat Jabr camp, Jericho - died on December 12, 2020 in Ankara) was a Palestinian-Jordanian journalist, broadcaster, correspondent and bureau chief of Al-Jazeera in Turkey.

Khashram was born in 1962 in the Aqabat Jabr camp near the Palestinian city of Jericho during the period of the Jordanian administration of the West Bank to a Palestinian family that immigrated as a result of the 1948 war from the village of Beit Natif (destroyed by Zionist militias) in the Hebron district, and later his family was displaced to the Wihdat camp in the Jordanian capital, Amman, after the war 1967. Obtained a high school diploma from an industrial school in 1980. Obtained a bachelor's degree in industrial management from the Turkish Gazi University in Ankara. He also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Libya's Garyounis University (currently the University of Benghazi) in 1991.

He worked as a broadcaster and preparer of Arabic programs between 1999 and 2004 for Radio Turkey, then moved in September 2004 to work as a news correspondent in Turkey for Al-Jazeera channel.

His name emerged during his coverage of the events of the Syrian civil war, after he worked as a news correspondent for Al-Jazeera channel in Syria until 2014. On July 21, 2012, Khashram stated that he had received threats of physical liquidation through calls from members of the regular Syrian army, and later on July 30, 2012 he was injured by shrapnel from a shell. It occurred near him in the city of Aleppo, after which he was transferred for treatment in Turkish and German hospitals, and some shrapnel remained inside his lung. He also covered the events of the battles and wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Ukraine, the latest of which was the clashes between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the Karabakh region.

Omar Khashram died in a hospital in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on December 12, 2020, after contracting the Corona virus disease 2019.
